"Baron"

Hi, my name is Baron.  I was a rescue through Hearts for Hounds rescue group based out of Long Beach.  I don't know much about how I got there but I do know that my dog dad was once an active Long Beach Police K-9.  Unfortunately, he was put to sleep at the shelter before Bonnie could get to him.  But she saved me and I am forever thankful.

I met my new mom and dad at the Los Alamitos Farmer's Market where Bonnie from Hearts for Hounds holds adoption events every Sunday morning.  For weeks and months I'd been going to the market looking for my new mom and dad.  October 26th, 2003 they came for me!  They came looking for a black dog who looked like their dog Shadow, R.I.P., who had died recently from a long battle with Cushing's Disease and Adrenal Cancer.  I was so happy to have new parents and Bonnie was so touched by their story that she gave me to them no questions asked.  Rest assured I ended up with the right people who have taken care of me ever since and will never abandon me.

My brother "Jake" was also saved by our new mom and dad.  Since then Jake and I have been on many road trips with our forever parents.  We've circled the United States more than 5 times traveling through a total of 35 states!  We got so lucky!

Weight: 70

Size: Large

Breed: Belgian Tervuren MIX

Nickname: Baroni Maroni

I love life with my mom, dad and brothers.  I rank #3 in the pack because of my submissiveness.  I love to please my parents and I am very independent for a canine. In fact, I am so independent I could be considered a feline.   I love my mommy especially!  I am easy going and well mannered.  I am the good boy of the pack!  I love to go bike joring, hiking in the canyons and walking with my brothers.  Oh yeah, I love stuffed animal toys but I like to call them my "brownies".
